RNGdle Mini Scramble: Adjacent Digits and a Sorted Run

What the current page says

The original Mini Scramble badge describes a number that “Contains 3 or more adjacent digits that form a run when sorted.” The page listed Common, 579 EP and 17.3% probability when checked September 24, 2026. These are badge values, not a whole-roll EP total or proof that a number earned the badge.

The original page names it Mini Scramble. Searches adding “(3)” appear to be referring to the three-digit minimum in the condition; “(3)” is not part of the current page title.

There are two separate operations in that short condition. First, look at a block of neighboring positions in the rolled number. Then sort the digits in that block to see whether they form a consecutive run. As a language example, the three-character block 3 1 2 becomes 1 2 3 after sorting. That example explains the wording; we have not verified it as an awarded game result or reproduced the detector.

Why a quick visual check can fail

The digits need not appear in ascending order on the roll, because the official sentence explicitly says when sorted. Conversely, digits found in separate, non-neighboring positions do not satisfy the stated adjacent part merely because they can be sorted into a run. The page does not spell out all boundary cases, including repeated digits, shorter numbers and interactions with other badges. Check the original result and badge link before deciding a specific roll qualifies.

The official About page separates badge rarity, which follows a badge’s occurrence chance, from the whole roll’s rarity, which ranks total EP. A Common Mini Scramble badge can coexist with a different overall roll label. See EP and rarity or the result reader for that distinction.

Which version is this?

The published changelog lists its latest September 21 update and an August 21 badge update, but it does not specify a Mini Scramble introduction or revision in those entries. That is not evidence that the rule has never changed; the changelog itself says older updates are incomplete. Treat the linked badge page, checked September 24, as the current source and recheck it after future changes.
