RNGdle EP and Rarity: Rolls vs Individual Badges
Understand original RNGdle entropy points, overall roll rarity and individual badge probability without mixing the two official scales.
Two different questions
The original About page defines number rarity as a roll’s total EP rank among possible rolls. It defines badge rarity by the chance that a particular badge appears. Keep the labels separate when reading a result.
| Overall roll label | Position described by the original site |
|---|---|
| Trash | Bottom 1% |
| Common | Bottom 50% |
| Uncommon | Top 50–25% |
| Rare | Top 25–10% |
| Epic | Top 10–5% |
| Anomaly | Top 5–1% |
| Mythic | Top 1% |
The original wording for Trash and Common overlaps at the bottom. It does not publish every boundary convention on this page. We preserve the published labels instead of inventing a precise classification algorithm.
| Individual badge label | Occurrence probability on the original About page |
|---|---|
| Common | More than 10% of rolls |
| Uncommon | 1–10% |
| Rare | 0.1–1% |
| Epic | 0.01–0.1% |
| Anomaly | 0.001–0.01% |
| Mythic | Less than 0.001% |
A concrete example
The original Quarter-Century badge page describes a number ending in 25, gives the badge a Rare label and lists 10,000 EP and 1.00% probability. That is a badge fact. It does not by itself prove that every roll earning it receives an overall Rare label; the whole roll uses total EP.
Every exact integer in the 0–1,000,000 range may be individually specific, but badge probabilities ask about a pattern shared by many integers. That is why “my exact number is unique” and “my badge is common” can coexist. Do not treat an independently made rarity score on another site as original RNGdle EP; see daily vs unlimited.
